post from Ms. Laurette Williams.

Please read the below FaceBook post from Ms. Laurette Williams.

When will we stop running
 Stop trying to take flight
When will we start standing up
 And fighting for our rights?

When will we be united
 Come together for one cause
 Instead our own private agendas
To correct these messed up laws

The law is s’posed to protect us
It’s s’posed to watch our backs
Instead we are abused by it every day
 Against us it’s all stacked

It’s because we are divided
 No one standing for another
 It’s everybody for themselves
No one is looking out for brother

As long as we fight each other
 We commit the greater sin
Because as long as we’re divided
 The enemy will always win

Identities don’t matter
 Laws don’t have a face
Gay or straight, black or white
Man or woman, we’re all one race

Human.

Stop looking for the labels
 They are convenient excuses
They only stand to throw up walls
And to magnify and vilify abuses

Too many have died needlessly
 For this, someone will pay
We may not see the justice lived out
 In our time and day

But justice is not for us
 It’s not ours to decide
No matter how much it hurts us
Nor how many tears we’ve cried

But just will be ours one day
As sure as you see the sun
 But it will only happen
When we all stand as one

When we stand united
Heart to heart and hand to hand
Laws will change justice will reign
It will be a better land

Stay Safe and Alert!!!
