Maya Angelou, And Still I Rise"

The documentary on "Maya Angelou, And Still I Rise" runs September 16-29 at the Gene Siskel Theater. Tickets are only $8. The film made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival and already has won film awards. The show is selling well and will probably be extended.  Rita Coburn Whack, a former Oprah Winfrey producer and Bob Hercules are the film directors. Businessmen Chris Gardner and All Joke's Aside founder, Raymond Lambert are Executive Producers. The movie shows the many sides of Dr. Angelou from her childhood in Arkansas to her rise to fame, with insights from her friends, the likes of, Oprah Winfrey, Valerie Simpson and Cicley Tyson share their stories.
