Tribute to DJ Casper: Creator of the Cha Cha Slide!

We may not remember their name, we may not remember exactly what they said, but we will always remember how they made us feel. Casper always made us feel good! Every time we hear the song, we feel a certain kind of way, usually wanting to hit the floor and “Slide to the left!” Before retiring from radio at WGCI (Gospel Radio 1390AM/V103) I was blessed to know this young man and his jovial spirit! The last time I saw him was at Herb Kent’s funeral. That was YEARSSS ago! I’ve seen him perform many times since then online or on television. Always an upbeat kind of fellow, even while battling cancer. He fought a good battle, and now moving on to the Upper Room to teach the Cha Cha Slide with the ancestors!
